RP Grand Hall

Remus looked at the table and pursed his lips.

R: I would calmly, with rationality and logic foremost in my mind, change all of their homework answers to be wrong. For a long time.

S: All Dorchest's answers are probably wrong anyway.

He mumbled. This was wishful thinking.

R: Actually he's top of -

J: Sense the tone.

S: Lets go?

He suggested, not enjoying being so close to Dorchest.

J: Definitely.

R: Alright.

Just before they left, James leaned close to Dorchest and whispered:

J: I'm friendly with the Ravenclaw Quidditch Captain. Apparently your broom isn't anything special.

Drop the mic, leave.

Sirius lowkey fist bumped James.

Amy sat down with her friends and stared at her breakfast.

James frowned at her.

J: What's up?

Amy jumped as he spoke and looked up at him.

A: Nothing!

James held his hands up.

J: Woah, okay, somebody's moody...

A: Just...

She ran her hands through her hair, clearly distressed.

J: Amy...

He put his hand over hers.

She pulled back. James had known, right? He'd kept it from her too.

A: I...

J: For Merlin's sake, Amy, either tell me or don't.

A: Remus is...

She was choking on the words.

A: A... And you knew!

James, to his credit, remained relatively calm. His eyes widened momentarily and his lips became thin and white as he pressed them together, but he didn't give any other indication that his friend's world had just come crashing down.

J: Would you like to go somewhere a little more private?

A: Why?!

She was clearly angry, eyes darkening to black.

A: So you can give me some more excuses?! More lies?

J: I promise to tell you truth. The whole truth. Nothing but the truth.

He'd heard some muggleborns say that - seemed catchy.

A: I don't know what to believe, James!

She bit her nails.

J: Amy, try and understand: if it was up to him, only he and his parents would know. We found out by accident, otherwise I don't think he ever would have told us.

He hissed across the table.

A: I just... How long? I thought we were all friends, I thought we told eachother everything! And you kept this secret for all this time? Do you not... Does he not trust me?

Amy looked like she was going to cry.

J: It isn't that, Amy - he was afraid of losing you, of losing all of us! The day we found out, he cried for hours, he thought we'd leave him and he'd be all alone. Imagine how it feels for him to be hated by most of our world.

A: He could have... I would never...

But she had. She'd ran away.

A: I'm just shocked, okay!?

J: I get that - how'd you leave him?

A: I said I needed to think.

And then ran away.
