E: Oh, he had to fetch something from the dorm, I think.

James frowned at the floor.

J: He didn't tell me.

E: I can't imagine why.

While James pouted, Evangeline leaned closer to Millie to whisper back to her.

E: Of course not, don't be silly.

Her face told otherwise.

M: I bet he looked sexy, don't deny it.

Both of the Blacks she knew were sexy. Wait.

M: Imagine those same lips that had defended your honor kissing you.

She whispered back, giggling. Yeah, she'd been reading too many pirate romance novels.

Evangeline cleared her throat.

E: I'd back away and thank him for the compliment.

M: Is that code for something?

Eyebrow waggle. Ooh, you frisky thang.

Amy turned a page in her book, looking at the two.

E: Yes, it's code for "Shut up Millie".

Evangeline hissed.

A: Oh here he is.

Sirius entered and sat.

M: Sorry.

She went link at being reprimanded

Evangeline lit up like a Christmas tree.

E: Hi, Sirius!

She tried to sound nonchalant.

Sirius waved lazily.

S: I just went to get my--

A: Mirror?

S: No. I left my homework in the dorm.

James had his back turned to Sirius, and was pouting.

R: This has apparently upset Prongs.

Evangeline sniggered at Remus.

S: Have I ruined the sanctity of this relationship.

J: No, it's fine!

James' tone told all who could hear him that he was by no stretch of the imagination 'fine'.

S: James?

He pouted, ruffling his friend's hair.

Millie watched them, smiling.

J: Oh no, it's okay, I'm fine, ignore me, apparently that's what you do now!

The ruffling hadn't really affected James' hair.

A: Oh Sirius look, you've upset him.

Sirius rolled his eyes and then forced James to look at him.

S: I'm sorry!

James looked at the ceiling as opposed to Sirius.

J: No you aren't! You're just saying it!

M: I swear, they're worse than girls.

She murmured to Evangeline and Amy.

S: What can I say to prove it to you?

Amy was giggling.

J: Tell me a secret that no one else knows.

Sirius scoffed.

S: Now?

J: Yes. Just me. I'm your best friend.

Remus felt like crying. He thought HE was Harry's dad's best friend.
