Amy laughed bashfully.

A: Oh... You know... Casual...

Evangeline smirked knowingly.

E: Mhm.

A: Not like... I don't know!

She scratched her neck and absently let her hair curl at the tips.

A: As I said... Not too spontaneous.

Frowning, she shifted closer.

E: Are you happy, though?

She nodded.

A: Oh yeah. I just feel like...

How could she put it?

A: He's being too careful?

E: People are always careful with things they think are precious.

Amy blushed but continued.

A: Well I still feel like he's holding back a bit.

E: Have you mentioned it to him?

A: Don't want to make things awkward.

E: Better temporarily awkward than always dull...

Amy pondered this.

A: I suppose?

E: You don't have to tell him it's boring, just mention that you find spontaneity very attractive.

A: But he'll overthink it and get all in his head and start having a weird Lupin internal crisis.

E: Then tell him to calm himself down, assure him you - love him?

Amy slumped back on her chair.

A: Right.

E: It shouldn't be a big deal, Amy.

Amy thought of the scars that mapped her boyfriend's torso and shuddered.

A: I know.

E: So why is it?

A: It doesn't matter.

She tucked her hair behind her ear.

E: Alright. If you ever need to rant about boyfriends, though, we can do that now.

A: Well... he's just...

She crossed her legs and then uncrossed them.

A: I think he's keeping secrets from me.

E: What kind of secrets?

A: Well...

She felt like she was trespassing on Lupin's privacy just thinking about it.

A: His scars.

She mouthed.

E: Oh, yes... Has he never explained them?
