She pretended like she was turning the page.

S: Amy why are you pretending to read.

A: Shut up and colour.

'He's onto us! Distract him, make your face blue or something -R'

Amy did as she was told. Sirius' brow furrowed, but he went back to labeling his nymph.

Not a euphamism.

'Nice one. Looking forward to apparition tonight? -R'

'Yeah. Hope I don't splinch. If I lose my legs, you can have them. -A'

'I've always admired them from afar -R'
'NOT CREEPILY'

Amy snorted a laugh and then pursed her lips, looking around guiltily.

S: What are you doing?

R: I think Yuri Blishen puts a few jokes into his books, in the footnotes.

James glared.

J: Really?

R: Oh, yeah.

A: Definitely. Filthy ones too.

J: ...Maybe I should get a copy.

R: Yeah, go for it.

'Fool -R'

She let out another giggle.

S: Really?

She couldn't control it, and slid down the tree in a fit of laughter.

'Shh, follow my lead! -R'

R: Yeah, really. What was that really funny one on page 17, Amy? About the fertility rune? Oh, yeah, it's shaped like an hourglass so he has a footnote saying 'the more fertile the woman, the more likeness she will share with this rune'. Classic Blishen!

A: Haha... yeah... haha... and... 

She wiped her eyes, which were tearing up.

A: And the Pictish rune for 'Male'... 

She couldn't continue.

Remus also began to crack up, partly because Amy was laughing so hard she was going a fetching shade of fuschia.

James watched them with raised eyebrows and shared a look with Sirius.

Sirius rolled his eyes and made a kissy face, pointing at them.

A: Lupin! Your mum's boobs look like the viking growth rune!

Her hair was curling in her hysteria.

R: I won't even tell you what the Viking fertility rune reminds me of.

He winked then burst out laughing anew. James sniggered and turned his back to Sirius, rubbing his hands up and down it to look like two people making out.

A: Stop! Stop...

She was lying on the floor, with her legs against the tree, wheezing.

S: Erm.

Remus crawled over to her, just calming down himself. Gently, he eased her up into a sitting position, with her head on his shoulder, taking deep breaths.

R: Yeah, the book's a riot.

J: Sure it is, you were howling with laughter. So what are you gonna call your kids?

Amy scowled, turning the page.

Sirius widened his eyes at James as if to say 'Who twisted her knickers?'

Remus flicked his wand at James and Sirius so that a few harmless sparks flew at them.

R: Not James or Sirius.

He sniggered.

S: Who'd want a name like Sirius anyway?

J: S'more like a name for a dog.

R: And 'James' is very dull.

A: Oh yes, I think James is the most boring name in the world.

She wasn't paying attention, but was flicking through her book lazily.

'For the record, I like Edward for a boy -R'

James pouted.

Amy smiled.

'I like that name too. -A'

She turned the page again.
